Compulsory Employer Accreditation 2022

  • If you run a NZ-based business and employ migrant workers, you now need to be an accredited employer to be able to sponsor them for a work visa.

  • All employers must be accredited under this new system.  Accreditation acquired under the previous system is no longer valid. Only if you are accredited under the new system will you be able to hire migrant workers.


Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV)

implemented on 4 July 2022

  • The Accredited Employer Work Visa is a new temporary work visa that was introduced on 4 July 2022.  If you wish to work in NZ you will require an Accredited Employer Work Visa.

  • The new Accredited Employer Work Visa is set to replace the Essential Skills Work Visa, Essential Skills Work Visa (approval in principle), Talent (Accredited Employer) Work Visa, and Long Term Skill Shortage List Work Visa.

Immigration Fees

The following sets out our estimate of the legal fees that we would charge for common immigration matters.

We would be happy to provide you with an estimate for any work that is not set out below.

  • Email us for enquiries.  We will reply as soon as possible, and no later than the next business day.

  • You don’t have to pay your immigration fees in one sum.  You can spread the payment of the fees over 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.  We use Fee Funders for this service.

Please note that we aim to keep to the fees set out above, however if your particular situation requires additional work than what is usually required our fee may be higher.  We will let you know if we think our fees might exceed the amounts set out above.

All fees set out above exclude GST, disbursements, and government lodgement fees.

Our fees are charged based on the time we spend on a matter and may be adjusted to reflect other factors (for example, the results achieved and the urgency, level of skill, complexity, responsibility, and specialist knowledge required).
